If you are unsure, there is an easy way to compare. Cross multiply. Try for example 1/4 and 1/3.
1/4 * 1/3 = 1*3 & 1*4 = 3 & 4
Since the 1/4 fraction has the smaller value of 3, it is smaller than the 1/3 fraction. Now compare 1/4 and 1/6.
1/4 * 1/6 = 1*6 & 1*4 = 6 & 4
This time the 1/6 fraction is smaller with the "value" of 4.
