I need to find some examples and statistics showing places where the government has misused federal funding. Help please!

Okay soo other than Iraq...what are some examples?
I can't include Iraq because this has to do more with education and that is just to big of a topic to tackle in a 5 page paper.

The day before 911 Rummie announced there was a TRILLION dollars unaccountable. Lately, billions 'lost' in the occupation. As far as we know NOBODY did a follow-up on this gross mishandling of US taxpayer funds.
What a rip-off and with all these restricions on the people why not the Govt who is screwing up?

During the Coolidge Administration the Congress passed the General Economy Act. It required all government agencies to obtain needed services outside of their agency's assets from other agencies. An example would be the use of VA and military medical facilities to do the physical exams of FBI agents and the like. To date the Act has been totally avoided, never enforced, and hundreds of millions of tax revenues have been doled out to private enterprises to do these chores at much higher expense.
