Hell yeah.

end of second year I was on academic probation for poor grades. I hated my classes and everything about college.

After talking to some professors, I found a course of study that I liked, transferred to another college and graduated 2.5 years later.

I'm very happy with my education, now 20 years later. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I was a business/accounting major and ended up graduating with a Interpersonal communication major and Sociology Minor. I'm a General Contractor, Residential and own my own company.

Not really... I felt more like I couldn't get out fast enough! After I started interning in the summers, the classes didn't interest me in the same was and I started to get frustrated. After a few months though I realized something major - never again in my life would I be as carefree. A paper due is really nothing compared to deadlines at work. I project due date was hardly comparable to a mortgage payment.

So I shifted focus and decided to enjoy every last minute. My main job each day? To learn new and excited things? Not only is that not terribly hard, there are people around the world that would give anything to attend school. Girls in Africa that can't afford the school uniform required to attend school. Yong people in Iraq fearing for their lives each day they walk the streets to get to class. Once I realized what a privilege my education was, it wasn't so hard to get up and go to class.

I was studying Film, Photography and Visual Arts - one of the most work heavy degrees at the school. Sure, I'm happy now but life is radically different since then. It's been 10 years.

Think of it like High School. There had to be days you didn't think you'd make it or couldn't wait for it to be over and it was your whole world. Now it's been a year or so and you have a different perspective on the experience. In 10 years, college will seem like a breeze and you'll wish you had cherished every moment.

yes, after my first semester i didn't think i was going to make it. But i was so disgusted with how low my gpa was (0.9 - yes I failed some classes-lmao) that it motivated me to do better. As I started doing well I became more interested in my major and ended up actually enjoying studying. I got all B's my second semester - and progressively did better as the years went on. I'm glad I didn't give up - I know my hard work in college is allowing me to make difference - and I can honestly say that I am doing my part to make the world a better place. I don't think I could say that without an education.

I got to the point when I could never make it through college.

1 is because I never took it seriously when I was younger.
2 , I was very scared of tests, but in order to get out of that fear I got tutoring. So I thought I would fail.
3, I graduated average in class.
4, I felt motivated that no matter how hard college was, I kept pursuing to do my best, despite the times I felt I was behind in my homework.
5, I am happy now, but would feel much better if my stocks would improve.

And know that with perseverance and suffering, you can accomplish your dreams.

I thought this way in the beginning of 2003 and 2006. I thought since I didn't do well in Education, I thought I would be good for nothing except doing Food Service. I wanted to teach to inspire people, but sadly it wasn't meant to be. I felt bad for myself for not finishing college on time, but I saw some people I knew who finished college and couldn't find work.

I will be graduating next semester. I'm finishing soon thanks to my Associate's at a community college.

I was doing ok in Education, but once I switched to Business, my GPA progressed upwards as time went on each semester.

I found that I did well in the areas of Business and I revamped my studying habits. In Fall 2006, I got a 2.94 and the following Spring Semester I got a 3.28. I also was the Secretary for my college's Business Club. I'm close to a 3.0 now that I want in order to go to grad school should I choose.

There was something about Business that appealed to me.

I'm much happier to be finishing this academic year. You just have to find what you like doing and go with it. Also, plan rewards for yourself when you are doing working and studying. It helped me out!

Good luck!
I'm still going to take classes to further my knowledge.

Yep, I did very poorly my first two years...even one of my profs told me to leave. I was failing because I was having too much fun, partying and doing drugs.

I dropped out and went back a few years later clean and sober. I now have my Associates in General Studies, my BA in History and Literature, and two quarters from my BA in Humanities. I am preparing to start my Master's degree in Education on Wednesday.

I am very happy and proud of myself. My husband was a big motivator and so were my three kids (all of which I had while going to school!) I wanted a better life...now I'm getting it=)\

Changing majors and changing schools made a HUGE difference!

Feeling your pain! This term is kicking my butt and I study for stats all the time. I'm an "adult" student, so maybe it's different? Motivation--this is the last term before transfering to the 4 year of my dreams. Never prayed for a lowly C before, but at this point I just need to pass!

Keep working on it and take advantage of all the helps your school offers. It's doable! We will triumph. :)

i never considered dropping out of college. but i did consider changing my major. why? organic chemistry. for some strange reason, i LOVE biology but hate chemistry.

failing? i was put on academic probation.

i did graduate with a decent gpa.

i was motivated by the fact that i would have to pay back my tuition waiver if i did not pass my classes.

i am very happy now. i have a degree which helped me get a great job. being on AP helped humble me...i don't go around arrogantly thinking i'm hot sht.

College can be hard, I'm going through college myself right now. Just keep it up :) If you find yourself starting to lose motivation then go out and hang with friends for a bit, sometimes that helps. Whenever I have trouble I just go in and get a hug from a friend, and usually that does a lot more help then one would think.

Not really. Math and chemistry were the bane of my existance
I just tweeked my major. Switched to education. The more education you have the more options you'll have in the fu=ture.
That was years ago. And I would never in a million years regret that I took the time to get a degree. Hang in there.
