restraint, but not the best choice
confinement---keeps person in one place indefinitely
towing, but I'm not sure they are strong enough, but I'll bet a redneck near me has tried it.
joining- holds two people together who don't want to be together.
swing--- would be hard to use, only fits a small hand when closed in advance
Crane---use to suspend item in mid-air might not be a good idea, or a safe one...

luggage keeper-- I've seen it used to chain a brief case to a person..
hanger-- clamp to dowel and hand something from it
dog chain-- much too short for a real animal chain
Italian language barrier-- they say Italians can't talk without their hands... never tried it. or deaf person's mute button mime's mute button ( I mean this in fun, not malice... I would never do this.)
