Wow....good for him. A lot of men aren't that concerned or careful. I've always heard that it's better for men without a condom. It sounds like you're both very sure that you don't want a baby right now and that's great that you're doing something to prevent it. As long as you're taking the pills correctly, then there shouldn't be a problem. Now, as you know, nothing is 100% effective except abstinence. The bc/condom combo is your best bet outside of abstinence, but you should be pretty safe without the condom.

It's called plan B. It will work for up to 72 hours after unprotected sex but the sooner you take it the better. It may make you feel a little sick and cause headaches and in some cases a late or absent period but don't stress out about that. In some states you can just go to a pharmacy and ask for it but in most cases you have to have a Rx.

Don't pressure him to do it first off, if he worries about it before sex without a condom, he will worry a TON after sex without a condom. I do know however that you can get a type of clear film that dissolves once placed inside the vagina. The downside is that it's a little pricey, but it's suppost to be pretty effective.

Your boyfriend is a smart and responsible young man. If you don't like that then you need to find another boyfriend.
He is right to worry about possible pregnancy, if an accident happened he would be paying child support for a very long time.

my bf was afraid too. just explain to him logically that it is still safe. fyi, as soon as my bf tried it without a condom, he hates having to wear one, on the occasion that he does.
