The first step would be to document the hours you worked and did not recieve wages for. After you do that, I would send a letter certified mail stating that if do recieve your wages you are entitled to you will take further action, like reporting them to your state's department of labor. If you do not recieve a response in 2 weeks, I would then report them to your state's department of labor. Since you have written documentation which shows you demanded the wages you are owed, you can look up your state's department of labor website and fill out the nessecary forms in order for them to investigate the case along with all the documentation you created.

Contact your state's Attorney General's office. They will advise you. You should see results in just a few days.....The AG can be found at your state's website....which is http://www.state.XX.us. Insert your state's two letter abbreviation where the XX is.
Most states are "at will" employment, where a company or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason..........you may not have a job after this, but who cares, they haven't been paying you!
find a better employer!

Go to them with proof of unpaid hours. Don't go in to see them with a negative attitude, say things like it must have gotten over looked etc. If you are due money it should be paid to you. The big thing is to have a good attitude and proof that they owe you.

Write them a letter and tell them that I really need the money. I would schedule an appointment with the boss. You can get all the lawyers and legal advice that you want, but there is nothing tougher than saying no to someone in person.

Get a paying job. Working for no money is just out right foolish. Make sure you file a complaint with the employment office too. Very few of us are wealthy enough to work for charity.

take it to small claims court making sure i have plenty of proof, documents and so forth. If the dollar amount is bigger then the jurisdiction allows then i would claim it as civil suite.
What i mean by if the dollar amount is bigger then the jurisdiction allows is that each court depending where you are at has a limit in small claims if it reaches above that you will have to go to the higher court.
