For me, it would have been on Interstate 65 leaving Louisville, Kentucky in my new Saab 900. I hit 105 mph before reason took over.

The thrill was worth the risk, though. Quite a rush.

Give as much detail as you like.

Going home for the first time after I moved away on I-15, I hit 105, but only for a minute, but I still drove home going 90-95 most the way. It is so thrilling to do that, but I only do it when there is hardly any traffic.

1 hit 170 in a 1968 440 GTX, it had 3.23gears and a nice hot cam. Scared the crap out of me. The road is straight and flat for about 9 miles where we did it. it had a 150mph speedometer that was very accurate, the needle was pointing way past 150

127 in a Honda Civic type R on a public highway. I was racing a Subaru Impreza WRX. Surprisingly, he bottled it and I roared off laughing like a Hyena.

106 before I realized it....

I was on a flat, straight stretch of interstate in southern Illinois....

That is the most I actually had confirmation of....

Back "in the day", before speedometers registered what they do now, I "buried" a few needles.....
