Dear Cheesy,
Please don't doubt God.
My sister became a Christian & 3 weeks later she was killed on a wet greasy road, car crash.
I have been a Christian for 43 years & now have 4 serious chronic diseases. I know God Is there, this world has many things in it , which don't add up, as we see them. But there is a plan & faith, love & prayer work.
Down here is just temporary, much like boot camp.
God knows what He's doing.
Have a Blessed Christmas, you & your family.xx

The same could be said of the many people that die annually from natual causes. Why is it that the first thing people do is blame God for things that go wrong but never really ever give Him the credit for all the many wonderful things that happen to people all over the world. For example, I didn't ear anyone criticize God when that group of people in Missouri won several millions of dollars from lotto, or when an American soldier fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan saves countless lives when they destroy a sect or group belonging to the Taliban or some other Jihadist groups against us or the West. Nope, I never or rarely hear thanks given to God regarding these and countless other great things He does. What we percieve as tragic on Earth is all apart of a more perfect plan that exceeds our ability to comprehend. With that, I leave u with this, if ur God is easily understood, then perhaps u may consider finding another God.

God is real busy right now. Jesus is having another birthday and God has a hard time with a gift. He likes to get his kid a better gift every year. I'm sure we all have noticed every year around Christmas a lot more bad things happen. It's because God is doing some heavy duty shopping for Jesus. After Christmas the bad things kinda go away because God is back on duty. And Yada Yada Yada. Happy New Year.

Yeah, well, unless those people worked in emergency services that had to be at work, they really should have stayed home.
We had a bad storm one time, and I called in. The place I worked said they were staffed ok, as the night shift folks couldn't go home, either.
The older I get, I see less need to get out in storms.
Sorry if I seem unsympathetic, but people should use some common sense.

You presume too much.
You speak of the deaths of these people as if, something happened to them that was not eventually going to happen anyway, at some future date.
If God had kept them from dying on that day would they never have died?
As for your question about free will, of course they could have stayed home, and any one of them could have just as easily died at home. Even if they had survived their day off from work, their eventuality would still be the same as all of ours, namely death.

Yes, those deaths are tragic, and yes we all have free will. There are problems we bring on ourselves, and there are problems that just happen to us beyond our control. I believe that God cares about the suffering, but does allow certain events to take place. Why? I do not know. I only know that I have to try everyday and be grateful for the good things I have been given. It isn't that God necessarily protects us from the bad things, its more that He loves us through whatever happens. That's my belief anyway.

I feel bad for you, God is everywhere, usually God is most visible after a tragedy such as this one. Find God and then help spread the good news. Focus on what you can do, not what you think God isn't doing.

well, if free will were into play all the time, then some people would never die at all....
it was their time to die, nobody could help that.
its just how things work.
if there wasnt a god to blame it on, you would be thinking "so who had their brains today? not everyone in oklahoma i presume?"
everyone is gonna die someday, that's what we all got in common!
