How do you find the star map on tattoine in KOTOR?

i have given the sand people water vaporators, but it still won't let me go to the eastern dune sea

In tattooine the star map is in the cave guarded by the Krayt Dragon, help the mercenary there to gain access.

On manaan you have to help either the republic or the sith to gain access to the underwater facility, the star map is located deeper inside.
