As far back as I know, my ancestors were white, musically talented, highly literate, and not rich.That's me. As for today's society (USA) I think many of us allow the media and the corporations to run our lives. I try very hard not to do that, and I believe in "live and let live." That's about it.

I think it is more how who your ancestors were affected the way in which you were raised. Did you grow up privileged or deprived. Were you instilled with self esteem or low self image. Things like that can be passed on from generation to generation, and play a role on how you fee about today's society.

Kind of I guess. Mine were fisherman from Iceland and I always feel like there is a "pull" on me to become a fisherman in Iceland. Wait that doesn't mean anything about society......idiot i am!
