I guess not!

I have witnessed the same thing happened in my Real Life. A couple who had been going on together for the past 10years, so loving so caring...got married after 10years but divorced after 6months of marriage. But the weirdest things is...they are still a couple if not lovers but as best friends!

Some people are not meant to be husband and wife.

I think that they will eventually some people may commit but they'll have to start slow with something like a fish and work their way up to a relationship....but I think some people just aren't meant to commit so it depends. If this is a relatioinship of yours base your decision on how your relationship with the non committer is, and if its not good then start over with someone special.

Committed to what exactly? Marriage?

I would say if someone has been in a relationship for that long, they already are committed to you, otherwise they would have left long ago.

It depends or certain circumstances. It is possible, it'll probably take a major event like feeling as though the other party is ready to bounce...good luck.

some times we just get into comfortable places and don't bother to think of anything else. talk to partner and get on the same page. maybe they never thought of being with out each other, or taking the next step. communication is important! also knowing what you really want....
