We've been going out only a month, so we're both not expecting very costly gifts. I know he likes race car driving, hockey (roller blading not ice), and techno music but I still don't know what gifts would be good that go with these interests. I don't think he needs any new gear for hockey...he doesn't really buy from iTunes and I don't know what artists/songs he'd like (even if I did, he might already have them.)...
Friends have suggested watches and tshirts/sweatshirts but I'm thinking those might be a little impersonal (and he's already got a nice-looking watch haha) since he was nice enough to remember a CD I'd wanted and got it for my birthday.
So any suggestions, tips, ideas?

Just wondering if gift cards wouldn't be too impersonal also or show that I'm lazy. Cause like I said before, he actually remembered that I'd wanted this soundtrack and went n got it for me.
Any techno music lovers out there, any suggestions? I know nothing about this genre haha

Bake him cookies, brownies, etc. You might buy him a book on one of his hobbies.

A gift card seems to be an easy way out and most guys appreciate it. I always think it is a good idea to get a "real" gift also if yo are going to give a gift card. It's just a nice surprise. You should think about things like his favorite sports teams or maybe some of his intrests. If he wants to be a cop get him a goofy kind of joke gift that would make fun of him or maybe if he wants to be a chef get him a cookbook (or baking book if he wants to be a pastry chef). Colonge is always a nice thing too. Especially if you like it too because then you'll want to be around him more since he smells good. Video games are also a nice gift. Since you've only been dating for a month don't spend too much but at least show him that you thought about him and you tried. A nice kiss at the end of the night would be very appreciated by him too.

Maybe a gift card or certificate to the local mall where he likes to shop.. Those are always perfect gifts :)
He can buy what ever he wants in whatever store there that is to be offered.
Or.. you could also maybe treat him to dinner. Not a cheap restaurant like McDonalds nor an expensive one. California Pizza Kitchen is perfect or even Macaroni grill.
Also.. you could also ask his friends what he might like. Maybe he went to the mall with them and pointed out some things that he liked.
Hope all goes well! :D

Food is always a good gift. A variety of candy and snacks. Or maybe take him out to his favorite restaurant.

If he likes cologne, buy him cologne. My girlfriend got me some for Christmas-- I put some on, and she immediately started cuddling with me like no other. So yes, find a cologne that both of you like (if it's too hard, one that YOU like) so that you can make his present TWICE as good by using the cologne as an excuse to kiss/snuggle with him. Powerful stuff, that Acqua di Gio. :D

I once gave a 17-year old boyfriend a Christmas present. He thanked the heavens that I did. But I can't tell you what it is over here. I might get reported. Yun Yun eh!

Your boyfriend likes the mushy gushy stuff? Get something personalized with a picture of you two or your names... You could get a big soft blanket to cuddle under together.

Music. It means alot and it doesn't matter if he already has it. I suggest You get a mellow or boarder mix type Techno. Sure to please, try Techno-Metal or Techno-Rock.
It's the thought that counts, plus, you don't need to be TOO personal this early on.
