like or hate em?
i personally don't care for them much but i just want to see what other people think. i think they sound like any other fueled by ramen bands (ex. panic at the disco, cute is what we aim for, the academy is...this providence) and aren't that original.

I like pre-"infinity on high" fall out boy.
now they are just another one of those over-exposed bands that praise the covers of teeny pop magazines.
I think that a majority of their new fans are more interested in what band member is dating who or whatever. It's not about the music anymore.
So, I've basically lost my interest in the music that comes out of those kind of bands, it all just seems like they're writing hits and not deep meaningful songs anymore.

I used to like them when i was younger and didnt know much rock bands but ive completely gone of them, Today im taking down my fall out boy poster. But i dont dislike fall out boy fans, everyone has their own taste in music :)

I like them mostly becuase the bass parts are pretty easy to groove with, and allow a little bit of room to play around. Other than that, they're pretty cookie-cutter... The only songs i really like are "Sugar we're going down" and the arms race one.
The problem is that they sound really similar to lots of other current bands... they don't do enough to make themselves unique

i like this band because of their lyrics and songs, i reckon they do sound different well the lead singer has a different voice to what i have heard although panic at the disco has a similar sound

They're a very genuine band. I happen to like them.. they're pretty much the reason that all those other bands (ex. p!atd) came to be. Patrick Stump also has a great voice.
And then theres Pete ⥠lol

I really like them people always say there music is bad but they accually never listen to the songs that are not popular which i think are much better

I want to know why so many people deem it necessary to bring up these pointless questions that will only spark up controversy between answerers, and the exact same question has already been asked hundreds of times, and the asker could simply take a second to look up the question they are asking and read already posted responses without wasting any of their points, or starting any more battles over little things such as this. It gets very old very fast.

Agreed. I don't like them in my opinion. I also do think they sound like every other band and the formula is generic.

hate them. they sold out. i agree, they do sound like a lot like those other bands. i think it's a shame, TTTYG was pretty good.
