What is a good way to plant them? just scatter them out into a big bed or in rows or bunches? I live right on the gulf coast it is 8pm rightnow and 70 degrees out side so I think it will be ok to go ahead and plant and maybe the bugs wont eat up the greens.

Plant them in rows. Have the rows be at least 12" apart (so you can get a how between the rows for weeding). Sow thickly and hand thin the seedlings when they get to be around 2" tall (that way the greens are big enough to eat). Give each seedling at least 6" of space between plants so the roots have room to grow big. This means you will be thinning out about 95% of the seedlings.

If you broadcast them seeds they will not have proper spacing so won't get as big as they could. And it will be really really hard to weed with a hoe. You will have to do all the weeding by hand which takes about 10x more time than using a hoe.
