The name Isadora is sooo pretty and I've always loved the name James.

Diesel isn't high on my list of favs, but he's not going to be my son. So, let your heart and his smile lead you to the right name.

Isadora is such a lovely name! I love it; it's so much better than the every popular Isabelle and Isabella. Isadora Clare, with that spelling, is also a favorite of mine.

Diesel, though some people just think of gasoline, is a pretty awesome name for a boy, in my opinion. What's more manly than oil and cars? lol. But I think James Diesel would work a bit better - I've always been a fan of 'noun' middle names (Alex West, Oliver Chance, Madeline Hart, Elinor Wren), and Diesel is just one of the more unusual ones out there. Plus, I think it's just so much easier to name him James if that's what you're going to call him anyway. This way, you guys also have the option of the very cute JD.

To match with the 'noun' middle name Diesel, why not consider giving Isadora one as well? If you don't want to, Claire/Clare is beautiful anyway lol. If you'd like to consider it, what about Isadora Lily or Isadora Thursday (kind of weird, I know, but I just love time names lol). Even something like Isadora August, Isadora Mae, or Isadora June would also be cute.

Anyway, I also want to add that Izzy and James sound adorable as twins! The names flow together well stylistically. Thank you so, so much for not doing the whole 'matching' thing lol.

Good luck and congrats!!!

Isadora Claire is a pretty choice for a girl, but I'm not so sure about Diesel. I suppose it's just the association that makes the name sound unfitting for a child, but I've come across a lot of puppies named Diesel, so it strikes me as more of a pet name.

What about James Diesel or Jameson Diesel?

I love Isadora Claire, but I'm not crazy about the name Diesel. Diesel makes me think of gasoline, and I'm just not crazy about it.

Isadora is a really pretty name though. Much better than your overused Isabelle. Another alternative is Pandora Claire, but I still think Isadora Claire is much better.

Although I'm not crazy about Diesel, paired with James isn't too bad. It actually makes a pretty neat combination, but I still don't like the reference it has to gas.

Nice twin names anyways, and gratz on the twins!

I like Isadoa Claire, but i'm honestly not too crazy over Diesel for a first name. How about James Diesel, so you could call him J.D? Izzy and J.D. would be cute.

Isadora is such a spunky, underused classic. And a lovely alternative to all-too-familiar Isabella, of course! ;) Love the girl name.

While I like the idea of James as a middle name, in dad's honor, it seems rather confusing to have him actually go by it. I understand in the case of a junior, where that simply is his given name (though even then it's preferable if father and son use different familiar forms), or even when people are called by their middle names for unrelated reasons. But to make the middle name same as dad's, and then call them BOTH by the same exact name anyway? Well it just seems to be creating a hassle where one isn't necessary.

As to Diesel itself, I'm afraid I can't be all that positive. It just tends to come across as one of those unfortunate attempts at uber-masculinity, the result of which is generally fitting for no one but a roided-out American Gladiator. Or in this case, equally suited to the young man working the pumps, given the obvious literal connotations with the word "diesel." Just not an attractive option no matter how you look at it, I'm afraid.

Sorry I can't be more supportive of that particular combo, but again ... I adore the girl name. ;)

Isadora Claire - Love, love this.
&
Diesel james - Sorry, don't like Diesel (I do know a boy with this name though)

Also, Diesel & Isadora don't match well together in my opinion.

I think your names are very cute & unique. Although, I don't know if Diesel is a good human name or not but if you choose to go with it, James goes nice as a middle name.

I'm not into rhyming names or anything "cutesy" with twins, but I did see the idea of having boy/girl twins names being Aidan & Nadia (they're backwards of each other)

They're nice, but I'm not sure what I think about Diesel. Might not be the best what with the oil crisis. Maybe Daniel, Dean, Dante? I like Dante.
