Should I put a western accent on my audition for a western melodrama?

Should I totally overdo the audition?

Maybe use a slight accent, but don't overdo it. Forcing an accent tends to sound really bad – unnatural and fake. You want to sell yourself as an actor, and acting isn't all about accents. Unless you're amazing at faking an accent, your bad accent will be more prominent than your acting skills.
