You can be temporarily popular by having such attributes but the real popularity comes by good dead and that can happen when by heart you are a good person and that will come from the inner power of the soul.

Not necessarily in the high school that i went to the most popular kids were also some of the smartest but of course there were some that were dumb as a rock and most of them were good looking but it depends on what you believe to be good looking.

Isn't social/cultural popularity based on appeal? Is popular music attractive to most or few? Isn't it really just a statistical formula? The features that are held as closest to the social idea of perfection are simultaneously the most revered and most reviled.
Revered and reviled by those who want them. The idea of 'good looking' is completely based on this idea of symbolic perfection and the good is the trending towards this ideal. The counter of 'dumb' is to revile the reverence already held.

well it certainly seems that way.
but i think it's mostly confidence. And since pretty people or people that are friendly and can make friends easily can hold their own self-confidence, then they make their way up to popularity. It's sort of like a circle, if you think you're pretty and great-looking, you make friends who are like that because they have the same attitude and confidence that can get them in the inner popularity circle. you don't have to be good looking/dumb, you just have to believe you are and everything follows. but of course, the downfall is arrogance

Hello:

depends on the crowd. In addition that would be the stupidest topic for a philosophy class. Please tell your professor or TA that I said so. If I were in that class I would inform them I would be leaving so that the conversation that would take place would not run the risk of making be stupider for having heard it and could someone please come get me in the hall after it is over and I will get them a cup of coffee or something. Thanks.

I hope this helps

There's alot of way to be popular, why does people become popular? it's because of the attention given to them and why in the earth they're given such attention? it's because they crave for it but in order to be positively popular we should crave for attention in a nice way, for instance do things that might impress others, but far as I'm concern being popular or well known only simplifies that you're very different from any other people, Ur uniqie and it causes them to see you above all. that's why they're getting alot of attention from others. THRE ARE ALOT OF CATEGORIES TO BE ABLE to be popular you just have to find it your self the better piece of your personality to be popular...

I don't know about the "dumb" part. But I would venture that wealth plays a role in it along with "good looks."

It doesn't matter how you look to be popular. people can be popular in any ways possible. however, it would be good if you can be popular in a positive way. :).
