HAVE you EVER been so POOR that when you went to KFC you had to LICK other PEOPLES FINGERS?

what things have you been so poor that you had to do.... please start by saying...

Once I was so poor that I had to scout for cardboard to put in my shoes because they had no soles....but, I did have shoes,,,and feet to put them on.
Once we were so poor that 7 adults and two children lived in a two bedroom apartment and only one adult had a job..but,..we had a roof over our heads and food to eat..

Once I was so poor that I had to make an old packet of Pasta'n'Sauce in the microwave with powdered milk. I didn't own a cooker at the time, and I have no idea where the powdered milk came from, but I couldn't afford normal milk. The pasta had been in my cupboard for about a year. It was the absolute last bit of food in the house. I have also been so poor that I've had to go to McDonald's and places to steal ketchup, which would then be my main meal. I've been pretty poor. But I was happy =)

once i was so poor that i dropped my kfc twister onto the floor it fell infront of everyone at the food courts, and i still ate it, i was too poor to buy another

Okay, so the KFC finger licking thing got me to thinking. My husband and I used to show up at KFC at closing time, order a tiny amount of food and they'd throw lots of chicken at us (in a happy way - not aggressive). We became great opportunists of closing time. It helps if you're nice to people too - they tend to give you more food that way.

never that poor... but once i was so poor that i... you know? i've never been to the point where i would have to resort to something like, crazy. i'm pretty poor comaparing to the other kids in my neighborhood though. i don't know if that counts.
