people asking if they are pretty or not?
it doesnt matter what you look like;;
its the inside that counts;;
plus, everybody has a diff opinion;;
so why would you ask something that
could put you down?
and make you feel worse about yourself?

I got the point of this issue and I never do ask people if I'm pretty or not, I have a well-established opinion about myself that no matter what other people say, I would feel the same!
On the other hand, I understand when people ask me that and I think they need somebody to tell them they ARE pretty, even if they aren't...the whole idea is about constant striving for other people's approval... I believe that if a person asks you if he/she is pretty or not, you should never ever say he/she isn't (even if he/she really is not pretty), it's just that they lack the confidence that you should bring into them saying : Yes, you are!!

i'm tired of the people passing judgement on other people. The people who look at others and say they're fat or ugly or whatever. because of them, we get the self-conscious weary people who are CONSTANTLY asking if they're pretty enough.
of course it's the inside that counts but it doesn't stop people from being rude and saying mean things.

Yes, I agree it is what you think of yourself. I never have asked other people to validate me...I feel these women, need to look to question themselves. As to why would you open yourself up, for people to make you feel worse than you originally thought about yourself....

I don't know... some people get insecure when they find out people have made more then one comment about their appearance. It's probably all in their minds, but this doesn't mean no ugly people exist.
It's hard to judge people until you really know them and all we have to go on, in the beginning, is appearance. It shouldn't be that way, but it often is.
