I'm writing a research paper on women in WWII. One of my sources described how "midgets" were used to screw pieces into small spaces in aircraft wings. In my paper what word should I put for midgets?

I would say little people , or the ones with dwarfism. I've heard people say vertically challenged lol. Just use ' They used people with a smaller frame or stature.

These are the only ones I found, and they're both from New Living Translation: 1. 1 Kings 5:12 So the Lord gave wisdom to Solomon, just as he had promised. And Hiram and Solomon made a FORMAL alliance of peace. 2. Acts 19:38 “If Demetrius and the craftsmen have a case against them, the courts are in session and the officials can hear the case at once. Let them make FORMAL charges. I like the idea you and your friend have, but I'm not sure the verses I provided are good for what you're trying to do. Someone above me had something from the Amplified Bible, maybe that will help you. Sorry! Well, God bless you and your friend and the guy to have fun and get closer to God in your relationships!

Vertically challenged.

I would just stick with "midgets".

Little people sounds like just short people in general. Dwarfs give off the mystical vibe.

"Dwarf" is the historical term, and the most scientifically correct. Considering that your paper is covering history, I would use the word dwarf.
