A Scotsman met a beautiful blonde lady and decided he wanted to marry her right away.

She said, "But we don't know anything about each other."

He said, "That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along." So she consented, they were married, and off they went on a honeymoon at a very nice resort.

One morning they were lying by the pool, when he got up off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 meter board and did a two and a half tuck, followed by three rotations in the pike position, at which point he straightened out and cut the water like a knife. After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel.

She said, "That was incredible!"

He said, "I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about each other as we went along."

So she got up, jumped in the pool, and started doing laps. After seventy-five laps she climbed out of the pool, lay down on her towel, and was hardly out of breath.

He said, "That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?"

”No," she said, "I was a prostitute in Perth, Scotland, but I worked both sides of the river."

LOL, this had me laughing out loud. I wasn't prepared for the
ending :)
In answer to your question, it depends on the couple and
how important one's past is to devulge. You can tell if you
are in love at first or second sight, and you can ask so much
about someone, in very little time. I used to think a person
should spend a year, getting to know someone before making a committment. But then I met my husband, and we
didn't have much time. He had orders for overseas duty, and
we had only three weeks to know each other. We were
engaged after our first week, and married after our second
week. Then we spent a week on leave and our honeymoon.
We've been married for almost 46 years now. And occasion-
ally, I still find out something about him or his previous life,
that I never knew before. He's been full of surprises LOL.

It sounds like a case of run off to Gretna Green, marry in haste, repent in the leisure centre.

If you mean in the biblical sense, it wasn't quite the thing when we got married fifty two years ago.The night before I got married my father said " Son, men and women aren't the same you know". " Yes" I said, "So I've heard".
