I don't know about these twins, but I can see it happening because fraternal twins each have their own umbilical sac. Breaking the water on one sac doesn't necessarily rupture the other. So one twin is born, his placenta is delivered, but the other twin is still sleeping for another day.
You've heard the cases where a mom got pregnant one month, and then produced more eggs the next month, one of which was fertilized. So she had twins who were a month apart in gestational age. Each had his own sac, so big brother was delivered on time, and they tried to keep little brother in there as long as they could, and a month later, he was born.
Nature is full of miracles. Just like the Creator.

If one twin was born late on 2/28 and the other early on 3/1, in a leap year, the birthdays would be two days apart.

In 1995, one born just before midnight February 28, one born just after midnight March 1st. 2008 is a leap year, so keeping birth dates will put February 29th in between.

Their birthday's are February 28 (right before midnight) & March 1st (right after midnight). 2008 is a leap year so there will be February 29th thrown inbetween their birthdays.
It also would've happened in 1996, 2000, & 2004.

No clue, but I'm guessing leap year... and one twin was born around 11:55pm.. and then one was born after midnight which would make it the next day.

Its possible my daughters, Zoie and Zara were born a day apart. After my wife had Zoie she tried to push Zara out but my wife stopped contracting and doctors said to wait to wait it out. The next day she went through labor again and had Zara. Wierd huh!
