Which plane is faster, the Blackbird or the X-43?
I try to find out but for some reason some website saw that the x-43 hasn't been flown yet!

x-43 has flown twice. first had a booster failure, the second doesn't seem to have good results either.

seems like it was in air for 11 seconds and covered 15 miles. (that doesn't make sense ----- 81 miles per hour? the plane that was carrying the x-43 was going faster than that)

NASA flew a third version of the X-43A on November 16, 2004, achieving a speed of approximately Mach 10

Lockheed SR-71 (blackbird) reaches only Mach 3

That's a piffle.
The active mechanism in the unit is modeled to be good up to about 87-90 percent of the speed of light.
... and no, that feature does not show up on the diagrams you can view.

Space Shuttle is the most fastest plane in the world(15,000mph or 25 times the speed of sound or MAC25).
