tips for looking credible in your debate:: search ages for when children are taught right/wrong, and when people understand the difference. the action is still the same no matter the age (if the age is considered knowledgeble of the crime, and why it is wrong.)
also, look up the cons of trying them as juveniles. having a good rebuttle for the opposing argument always looks good.
also, look at your side from many different views. financial, statisitical, and of course the one that usually makes the best impact, common sense.
hope this helps, let me know how the debate goes!
ps... try pschology websites, they might have some very useful information on brain development (knowing right/wrong)

mainly because even though Psychiatry isn't an "exact science" one thing I believe they've looked at...in regards to the human mind... is that people that have tendancies to commit acts of violence are pretty much impossible to reabilitate.
Sure, there are cases you can read here and there regarding someone changing..even a few becoming pastors and such...but the odds and percentage are pretty rare.
A recent study showed that if we actually used capitol punishment rather than release hardened criminals or rather violent once back on the street after serving thier time...that 18 people..on average, would be saved. I can't attest to the accuracy of that study, it might be 20, it might just be 5. What i've always failed to understand though is how people can be so bleeding heart over violent criminals but care nothing about the society that is victimized over and over again by them.
And even though I've seen the reports, you can't tell me that a 3 shot terminal solution or the electricity running through a chair is more expensive than a life time of inprisoning them.
If that is the case..then the Government needs to go to wal-mart instead of Rodeo drive to find better service.

If juveniles are old enough to conspire and commit murder and other horrible crimes than they are old enough to face the consequences of their actions. For every action there is a reaction, age plays no role in that theory.

simple...there is knowing the difference between right and wrong.....there is a matter of one's religious training/upbringing that pertains to one's ability to choose whom to follow; God or Satan....there is the responsibility and consequences of knowing there is negative recourse for actions which do not promote the welfare of others....and there is (in my opinion)the fact that anger ensues some dispicable behavior in us all....some actions are out of revenge, hatred, and some children are just f'd up in their thinking.....there is a certain level in which their adult parents are liable for the actions of their juvenile offenders too....
