OH MY,
That sounds horrible.
It couldn't burn up internally because you need to ignite it, but I am sure it is a deadly toxin.

I think that you would not burn to death, but could still die due to internal bleeding. Depending on the site of injection different things could happen. If you hit the carroted the acid would go straight to the brain. Ouch!!!

From the site of injection, it will probable cause enough damage to the blood vessels but not to the point of literally burning. In the blood, we have lots of buffers to compensate for the pH change. However a drastic change and the damage to the vessels will surely cause a cardiogenic shock.

Since potassium as an element is a solid at room temperature, or even at human body temperature, it is impossible to be injected. Some potassium compound like potassium hydroxide is corrosive and should not come in contact with any parts of ones body.

You wouldn't catch fire inside but you would probably burn all your internal structures from the strength of the acid. It's a bad idea, don't do it.

just using some basic principles:
inject sulfuric acid:
1) blood embolism due to H2SO4 reacting with blood carbonate buffer to form CO2.
2)heat generated from above reaction
3)protein hydrolysis on a reasonably slow scale, as well as a myriad of other hydrolysis reactions (hydrolysis of esters, phosphoesters, and other moieties)
4)denaturation of proteins, as well as decreased or destroyed enzyme function (pH dependent)
no burning. what would make you think someone would burn from acid?

You would die from H2SO4 poisioning, you wouldn't burn to death. Befor you die it would probubly sting like hell though.
