screenshots: press CTRL + PRINTSCREEN.
this will put the screen onto the clipboard which means it copied into memory.
Paste (CTRL + V) to a paintshop like program.
An easier way is to download something like Hoversnap. This will allow you to select a portion of the screen and save as an image file.
Google "screenshot" and you will get many more programs to take screenshots.

Hold down the ALT key and tap the PRINT SCREEN key.
