They may slight impact but I believe it's parents not willing to take the time to show their children values or pay attention to them. This is where control comes from and I would have to say children are not disciplined like they used to be. Cartoons and games I grew up with were way more violent then they are today. and there was not this type of violence when I was going to high school, junior high etc... Sorry, I blame parents

For children, this game is their friend, their family and their role model. Children are not dumb like someone has said but at that age they are impressionable and a world of controlling everything could just spark and bring about the dark side that they really want to be. Plus, most kids eat, breathe, and sleep violent video games so that why they act the way they act because it is always on their and it is coming apart of who they are.

I think if parents don't have the good sense to raise their kids right, it does contribute. If they don't have anyone to explain to them that GTA is crap, how are they going to know any better. People are quick to blame movies and video games, and in a way thier right. Some games aren't appropriate for kids, a nine year-old for instance, is gonna think sex, drugs and gang violence is cool. Mom and dad need to monitor this stuff, so they know better.

This is the governments way of saying, *we do not have a F**King clue, lets blame it on something they have now that we didnt have 20 years ago*. The area you grow up in, the people around you are the influence. I swear to god, i should be a politician for a day, be the best damn country ever.

i don't think so at all
people can blame it on anything if they wanted to
maybe people need to discipline their kids more and watch out for signs
not paying attention to the signs is one of the fatal mistakes made by teachers who had the shooters as students
