I really wonder that if India is unable to defeat Pakistan in tests, even after scoring 600+ in first innings twice then how will it be able to defeat Australia later this month?

Sri Lanka just recently crumbled against Australia even after Sangakarra scored 192.

So it is worrying to think how India may end up performing against Australia

The reason is there is not much difference from the two teams. Both teams have good batting line up suffer from depth in bowling due to injuries. While India has an edge in spin Pak have a better pace attack.
The condition of the pitch is also the reason for the poor performance of bowlers. The batsmen too should not read much into their performance other than restoring their confidence.
If they remain confident India can do well in Australia.

India defeated Pakistan 1-0 and dominated the entire series.

Beating Australia in Australia in specially in test matches is a miracle even after the retirement of Warne,Langer,Mcgrath,Martin recently I don't think any country in the world can do it.

Against a team like Australia what you need is to break their confidence and frustrate them and i m sure they will surrender. They werere just high in confidence and Sri Lanka felt it is impossible to beat them.Once the perception that Australia is unbeatable demolishes, its easy.

Speaking from an Australian's point of view, if they got down to some hard training & less whinging about the coach, not to mention respected their coach a bit more then they JUST might do OK. There's the difference you see, Australians respect their coach & have worked very hard to achieve their present status in World cricket. It wasn't handed to them on a plate, they earned it. Perhaps India should turn their minds to doing the same.

The answer is simple, they are not going to beat Australia. Their side is nothing compared to the Aussies and they don't stand a chance.

India is and always have been a far better team than Pakistan. So if they can't beat them, then how will they beat the Aussies'. Sorry but I don't see them winning.

I quite agree with you. Indian bowlers will have to be sharp and penetrative if they have to trouble Australian batsmen.
