If Firefighters fight fires, and Crimefighters fight crime, what do Freedom Fighters fight?
To answer your question, how many crazed female killers are out there blazing away at the general populace?
The only one to come to mind is Eileen Wuoronos, that nutso hooker serial killer from Florida. The phenomenon is so unusual, they even made a movie about her. ("Monster" with Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci)

I don't understand the question. Around here firemen are firemen and fishermen are, well, usually just napping near a cooler of beer. We don't have gunmen but if we did that's what we'd call them. And in the USAF we're all Airmen, even the women.

Guns are not PC nowadays so why should we change 'Gunman' to 'Gunperson'? We certainly don't want to lend any credence to the scum who go berserk with guns.
