First is first, when i get the burning crusade, are all of the original WoW patches on the burning crusade? i mean, if i download WoW and then BC right away, would all of the original WoW patches already be loaded on the BC disks?
Secondly, im getting WoW today, and BC for christmas, should i download all of the patches for the original?
If the second answer is no, which patches should i download?

The BC disc has all the patches needed to play the very first version of the expansion. You still need to download (quite a bit) of patches to be able to play the current version (2.3).
You HAVE to download all the latest patch to play, there's no other option.

If you're getting WoW (regular) now, it will download all the patches you need to play today (although the patch for 2.3 will take a while). Then when you get BC, you can just start using that.

You will need to download all the patches for the original. You'll be able to play right away without Burning Crusade (Just can't roll a Blood Elf or Draenei) or level past 60.

well if you want to start playing WOW before getting BC you NEED to download the patches or you can't play. Otherwise don't worry about it cuz BC comes with the patches.

Yes you must install a massive patch.... Enjoy :P (I play WoW and my advice is roll a character on a NEW realm. Or you will not get to do much pre TBC content.)
