if your going to be a rogue and alliance go with GNOME. they are so hard to see in pvp. and the racial abilities are good.

If I were playing alliance rogue I'd easily go dwarf since Stoneform dispells all the DoTs that Cloak of Shadows can't.. (My 2 cents)

Night Elf racials don't contribute much to the rogue class. Since they get a stealth (which rogues get)

The Human racials are excellent for Mace/Sword Rogues and perception is nice in PvP.

So if your only going to roll one of those 2 classes I'd go Human

id have to agree with john.. if your going to only choose between those two race's go with human... otherwise go dwarf or gnome. or best of all... Undead .. then you dont have to be an ally and can be on a side in battlegrounds that dosnt rely on the opposing team getting bored enuff they leave and wait for continental drift and animals that have evolved enuff to have a lost and found system to return the flag to your base
