You should never, ever, ever resent loving someone. Thats what makes the world go round.:) The fact that you feel you gave more and it went unappreciated, let it go, now you will be able to give that love to someone who will. Focus on the fun and good things you learnt from your ex, and look forward to meeting someone new, you are on a journey, that was one stop, or a fork in the road, who knows whats around the bend. be young, have fun, enjoy the journey you are a different person and they were part of who you have become, you obviously had a lessen to learn from them, you have learned it, time to move on. Best wishes.:)

No, even when I think I do I know that I really don't. Right then and there when I was with him I felt like I was the top of the world and I experinced love with him. It felt so great but when I found out he was a jerk it broke my heart. But that happy feeling and the things I experinced with him made it all worth it. I came out of it a diffrent, stronger, better person and I would not trade it for anything in the world.

It really depends. If he/she is your ex because he/she was cheating on you and didn't tell you and ask for forgiveness, go ahead and resent your previous love for that ex, but if you two thought that it was wrong to start a relationship in the first place and broke-up because you both agreed that you couldn't continue on together, there is no true reason for a bad attitude toward your ex.

I stand neutral. I do not resent those moments and the lessons I have learned. I now know what I want and need in a relationship. I will admit afraid to completely give myself to someone like that again.

Yeah, because I really thought at the time that he was the one for me then I realized a few years ago, after our divorce, that he was only interested in having someone take care of him like his mommy did.

YES!!! I wish I never dated the *** hole. He didn't love me and he just used me. I regret it even more when I got together with my boyfriend now, who I've been with for more than 2 years now. We love each other so much and I wish that I could have giving him my "flower", lol. I do regret it, and I blame my ex for influencing me to drink.

absolutely not....better to have loved and been honest and in the moment. Thats how one grows....if it does not work out, just take the lessons learned. No need to be bitter...
