Only when I was in the Army.
But have you ever heard the phrase, "The mind is the largest human sex organ?"
It could also be said that, "The brain is the mightiest weapon of all."
In the right frame of mind, a tuft of cotton candy could be lethal. In the right hands, a paperclip is deadly. Guns can jam, or run out of bullets or be taken away and used against you. There are a ton of non-lethal personal protection devices out there, I recommend the personal Taser. 50,000 volts of stopping power will take the urge out of any would-be attacker. The only problem is, you have to get in pretty close to use it effectively. Perhaps pepper spray would be more appropriate. It all depends on your circumstances and outlook on life.
In the "The Art of War" it states (I'm paraphrasing) the only successful battle is the one in which your opponent is so demoralized he refuses to engage in battle at all.

I live in a big city so I carry pepper spray with me. Its not really a "weapon" but I'm sure it'll get the job done.

I am licensed to carry concealed, but that being said I rarely find the need to do so. The license is more for gun transport to and from the range.
I do carry pepper spray, and always carry my keys in the "jab" position. lol and my handbag weighs a ton...on whack with that bad boy you are going down.

Yes...I have used it 3 times...Once when some gang bangers attacked me as I was exiting a vehicle and another time Someone was trying to enter the vehicle while I was stopped at a light and another time some gangbangers smashed all the windows out of the house trying to intimidate the newcomer to the neighborhood...I only fired it once and injured one person..the others ran away.

And I was just been honest.when I am defending myself it is ''all means necessary''
