My 1st daughter was 2 1/2 months old when we found out were were pregnant again. So I have a 1 year old (she just turned one on Dec. 4th) and I have a 1 month old (she was born on Nov. 9th)..Nearly 11 months apart...My 1st pregnancy I was extremely sick with morning sickness up until about 20 weeks... with my 2nd pregnancy, I did have any sickness what-so-ever....The only problem I had was fatigue..which is understandable when you have a little one at home you're taking care of on top of being pregnant. My labor with my 1st lasted 16 hours...my labor with my 2nd lasted 7 hours...I did have back labor with my 2nd for about 2 weeks before going into actual labor..and I had restless leg syndrom throughout the pregnancy....I love having my 2 close in age and my husband and I want 2 more children that we want to have close in age....A woman's body is made to give birth..altho it is hard on your body (some say) to be pregnant so soon after giving birth, if you just take care of yourself through out your pregnancy, I'm sure everything would be ok. :)

You should wait the full year until you get pregnant again. This is not only for your own safety (you need to recover from the birth and finish breastfeeding if you are doing that) but also for the new baby- it needs you to be at full health and ready to nourish it. 18 months or so apart is just fine. They'll still play together and all that.
Blessings to you.

It's not advised to get pregnant so quickly in the interests of having a healthier pregnancy, but it's also important to wait so that your son is able to continue breastfeeding. Pregnancy often causes premature weaning, so it'd be best to wait until you'd be happy for your son to wean (and he should be at least 12 months old).

Its harder on your body to be pregnant again before the first year is up- even harder if you nurse that first year. But its certainly not impossible.

Ease of labor doesnt have anything to do with closeness of babies. Generally all babies get easier and easier to deliver, but thats a generalization.

It depends on how long your body takes to recover. 1-2 years is what I was told.
