I don't understand the classes or races well because I am used to other online games. I like both mage and warrior at the same time, but don't if there is something smaller. If you know any information on character creation, PLEASE let me know.

What kind of character did you like playing in the other games? Do you like being in the middle of the action or doing lots of damage from a distance.

As a first try, I would suggest a class that has some kind of healing ability. Warriors die alot at first. You can get first aid and healing potions to help with that though.

If you like ranged damage, a mage is a great class to start with. You get lots of spells that help you out of tight spots.

If you want to level faster, try a hunter. You have a pet to help you, so you have less down time running from the graveyard to your corpse.

Try a few different ones out. It took me a while to find the character I like the most. And I still play on several different alts.

Try a Shaman (Avalible to Orcs, Trolls, Tauren and Draenei)

Or a Druid (Tauren or Night Elves)

Both classes are like a Warrior/Mage Hybrid with some healing abilities.

My other suggesiton would be a Hunter, which is a Ranged Physcial Damage Class

Paladin has self heal, rez (later in game), major hits and a lot of other things.

Shamans are bad *** as well. hit hard with the right spell combos and have heal and rez as well.

Warriors are decent strong but don't get much along the lines of magic.

I've done mage, shaman and hunter. They were all fun. I'd almost suggest working on one, and if you don't like it start a new toon! You can have multiple toons per server under one account. (I have 4 on one server, 2 on another and 1 on 2 others all under my one account)

the classes are quite well balanced so not many classes have an advantage over others... it seems like you want something that have a usefull melee and ranged attack... in my oppinion your only choice.. or best choice would be a Shaman. its pretty tuff to play them well but if you want something that can rly do well in melee and @ a distance i would say a shaman is the best choice... druid is good too.

if you just wanted a class thats easy as F!@* to play.. I would Choose a Rogue or Warlock.. but odds are you will level to 70 and not know anything and people would laugh @ you.

Well, if your new to WoW, dont choose anything to advanced, try like a warrior or a mage, then start going to a priest and healing class, and if your REALLY new, like newb new, try a paladin.
