My xbox 360 got the 3 red lights and i called microsoft and everything and they said it would take 5 days to send me the packaging so I could send in my xbox get it fixed. It took them over two weeks to get it to me. That was a while ago, I finally sent my xbox in and they've had it for over 6 weeks, i'm so upset with microsoft that i plan on selling my xbox and getting either a ps3 or a wii, what do you guys think i should get.
p.s. i don't suppose i could do anything to microsoft along the lines of suing them, could i?

Sue MS? hahahahaha, no.
Get a PS3 if you can afford it for Metal Gear Solid 4, or a Wii which has a stack of games, and has an option to download user-created games.
But there a lot of Xbox 360 games coming out next year,

If you overheat your red-ring-of-death Xbox 360 it will fix the fault (general hardware failure).
Wrap it in layers of blankets and turn it on. Bake for 20 mins.

Let it cool, then turn it back on and it will work - albeit for about 4 weeks.

No joke, my mate and I did this to his Xbox 360 and it worked. Funny that a bunch of kids on the net can fix the problem, but it took Microsoft $6 million or so to rectify it.

my friends xbox got three rings of light and we wrapped it up in a towel for 30 min while it was on and let it heat up which makes a better connection with the cooling fan and the cpu. let it cool down for 10 min and turned it on and it has been working great since...

you should of done that....

well I would stick with the 360 but if i had to choice another I would go with the ps3..

You have no legal vantage points against them so it won't be smart to sure them. Also you have waited this long, it would be pointless to sell it, and it isn't like they are losing money by you giving it away. Anyway if you are going for online games or FPS than buy the PS3. If you want family games than buy Wii... I bought the Wii cuz it is that much cheaper.

PS3...I've had mine since March and it works great. No problems, and the one time I called customer service, they solved my problem within 5 minutes of the phone call. It was great!
