When you first get your tree, cut the bottom off so its clean and straight. Make sure it always has water and it should last for at least 6 weeks. No special tricks at all, just make sure the bark stays on the trunk because thats what absorbs the water to keep it alive.

water it every day. That's what i do, and it works just fine. Real trees are more fun than artificial ones anyway.

it's fake. lasts for YEARS...no smell, dog doesn't pee on it, a few needles, goes back in the box until next year.
