Only four times in US history have we elected the shorter of the two candidates for president. Strangely enough, all four were during the television age.
Nixon was shorter than McGovern
Carter was shorter than Ford
GW Bush was shorter than both Al Gore and John Kerry.
Every other election, we've elected the taller candidate.
Thing I don't know is, who was shorter than James Madison, at 5'4"?

The Simpsons television show is in the longest running prime time show in history.
They are even in the Guinness Book of Worlds Record for this.
And also for having the most guest appearances in a prime time show!
