check out the forum section at scootdawg.com, they are dedicated ChiCom scooter folks and have specific threads on hoe to modify the 50cc GY6, QMB139, and Linhai-Yamaha 2 stroke engines. You are bound to have one of those engines in your scooter, so there you have it! One dude on that forum has done over 70 mph on a 50cc! Others have done mods that help the speed, but that guy takes the trophy!

Get a piece of paper and draw it (just kidding)

That is as fast as a 50cc Chinese moped will go! Leave it alone, or you will be sorry, and if you are running it 45 all the time, you will be sorry very soon!

If you need to be running 55, you need a bigger bike, and don't go Chinese! they are cheap, but will make it up with repairs.

You could get a bigger piston and cylinder, but it will quickly break a crank shaft or something else, it is already illegal (30MPH is your max. speed allowed). Leave it alone if it isn't broken!

crash it into a wall at 45, maybe that will knock some sense into your head.

MOPEDS AREN'T INTENDED TO GO THAT FAST, MAN UP, BUY A REAL BIKE (bigger than 250) AND THEN ASK A QUESTION IN HERE!
