There are a number of things that could be causing this bleeding (called breakthrough bleeding which can act a lot like a period but isn't) such as a hormone imbalance.

Please let your mom know what's going on as well as your doctor so that they can look in to this bleeding further to see what they think could be causing it.

Well, my aunt had a 30 day period and when she went to the dr. she found out she had uterine fibroids. You seem too young to have them, but I'm not an expert. They're noncancerous growths in and on the uterus that can cause menstrual problems and a few other problems. My suggestion is to go see a gynocologist asap. Even if you've never had intercourse, this is something a bit urgent for a gyn to see you about. Especially if you've had this situation twice.

If you're bleeding like what is called spotting, only a little bit of blood and lighter in color, it's normal. If you're experiencing a regular period flow for that long, it could be a normal cycle for you or there could be something wrong. Talk to your doc and don't be afraid :-). Especially if you're worried about yourself.
