I happend to interview at this credit card company last thursday. the company said they would contact me sometimes next week.I am anxious about the result. If I think that company is taking a while, should I reach them immediatlely for follow up or should wait for few more days? what is the best thing?

Did you send a follow up "thank you" message? If not, now would be the time. State in the message that if they have any additional question regarding your qualifications, please feel free to contact you.
But to be honest, companies these days are not always good about getting back to people on time (if at all).

If they gave you a date (& you should ask for one) wait.
I'd say to call on thursday, explaining that it's been a week.
Don't let them know that you are anxious, just concerned.
