I don't know if the quote is valid or if you are including the whole quote...the whole quote might mean slightly different....but never the less, Clinton did not go to war over it....he had the sense to determine that a war in Iraq would be an undertaking that could undermine the US and actually make it weaker...War is a risk...Bush has put the US at risk.
I've seen this argument several times...if Clinton had taken this information and gone to war with it, the Republicans would have gone crazy. Republicans don't realize that the Democratic party is "all the rest"...Republicans may represent a few different groups, but the Democratic party is "all the rest"...If Clinton had gone to war with this info and it had turned out to be false, we would have been out of there long ago....The Republicans would have even ensured that....If Clinton had gone to war then, the Republicans would have been against it....a stupid plan is a stupid plan, no matter who thought it up.

One of the few honest things a clinton has said in the last 5 years. Fun fact a chemical or biological weapon can be classified as a weapon of mass destruction. For all the people that wonder why we found massive alluminuim containers that were scrubed clean in the middle of a desert

He was trying to be civil, and give GW the benefit of the doubt. Too bad GW wasn't worthy of that benefit.

At that time, the war in Iraq must have been popular, and he said he was for it?
They did find chemical weapon stockpiles.
