i have a PC but i wanted a mac but didnt want to spend to much money.So i was thinking of buying a refurbished G4 imac.Are they to out of date?i was wondering if it would be a waste of 400$?so please tell me what you think!!!!

I disagree... $400 is actually a bit expensive. Try looking on eBay, you should be able to snag one for $300 or less. If you want a little more power, try a G5 iMac, but they cost several hundred more (about 750+). If you don't need a monitor, try a G4 tower. Even though these retailed for a bit more than the iMacs, they're now generally cheaper, sometimes. Or maybe even try and find a Mac Mini. I have one of the Intel versions, and I love it!

Get the G4 MAC with the fastest processor you can and you will be happy.

I'm still using my Lampbase Imac and am very satisfied even though the Mac is 4 years old.

There are literally millions of Mac users that are still using iMac's PowerBooks with G-4's Likewise there are still many of us still using G-3's with OS-9 Operating Systems.
So at $400.00 thats cheap and I woudn't hesitate.
