People don't know what they want in professional wrestling.
Seriously, look who Jericho has to work with: Orton, Santino Marella, Umaga...are they on his skill level? The thing that makes Jericho's comeback seem less important is:
1. People are never satisfied with something in wrestling
2. He doesn't have wrestlers on his level against him
3. The WWE has made Jericho a forgotten character, so not that many people care for him in the present audience
His crowd reactions have been OK, but the fans need to be more excited to be at a wrestling show in general. They are not as loud and talkative as they used to be.

Jericho has been Great In ring & on the Mic. The reasons for his lack-luster crowd reaction boils down to 2 Issues.
1.WWE was expecting his return to have some shock value, with the fans all being surprisedthat he was back but most of us knew at least a month a head of time our anticipation grew then faded. Look back at No Mercy 2007, when the knowlege of the return of Y2J just started buzzin on the net the Y2J chants were louder than when he actually Returned.
2. Jericho just plays a better bad Guy. If Cena hadnt been hurt & Y2J came as a heel to save us from another long a$$ boring Cena Reign the reaction from true wrestling fans added to the Cena haters would have shook the rafters in any arena.
Since neither of these things are Y2J's fault the WWE would be stupid to blame him.

Wow this was a big slap in the face to Jericho. All those good mic skills and creativity must of just went down the drain when he heard that...I do agree with you though about the kids fanbase, Teddy Long got a bigger pop than Jericho returning. Stupid fans, stupid WWE for making it what it is today! A stupid kids show. He should've went to TNA.

I agree with you!
I went to No Mercy this year, and believe me, there were louder Y2J chants than when he came back. Everytime Cena was on the TV's before the show, everyone booed!
at least Chicago knows some talent..
Its not jerichos fault, and i can't really sum it up anymore because listen to everyone else, they are right.
The writers thought way to big of Jericho, yes he is amazing and i think hes made raw better, but the writers and some fans are just never pleased. oh well, i am, and so are people on Y!A. we know are wrestling, so i think we the people of Y!A are right.

Jericho hasn't been "Y2J" in two years. Give him a little time to get back into the swing of things.
There are FAR too many people who bought in to the hype that Jericho is going to "save the WWE", apparently even some of the WWE's own employees.
There are also a lot of fans who don't really know who he is.
I warned (here on Answers) that this would happen. No one man can "save the WWE" by himself. Too many people have put that onus on Jericho, and they are not even giving him a chance to show what he can do. People expected miracles and magic wands immediately. Not even Chris Jericho can perform miracles.

Agreed Brandon.Jericho has only been back a few weeks. He's been out of wrestling since Aug 2005.The backstage ppl need to cut him some slack. He's out of the game & having to adjust & get the in-ring smarts again. That doesn;t happen overnight.
I read somwhere that HHH doesn;t rate Jericho & would rather have Jeff hardy get the push instead. The feeling is Y2J has lost it.
Wrong. Jericho will be top of his game real soon & in the title mix. He's as good as he's ever been & for sure will be WWE champ.

I agree.I think it is that a a lot of fans new that he was returning early from all those 'rummer' sites so it was not much a surprise and big excitement. If I were WWE would have not told anybody he was returning and just had him come on.I don't worry about making a video saying he is coming next week to get ratings.wait for the ratings to come n the following week.

there are still jerochoholics out there but not many got to wwe live events thats why he does not get a great crowd reaction that he deserves and still another reason to hate john cena cuz litlle ten year olds think cena will show up and win back the wwe title too bad y2j is the next WWE CHAMP

it's not like his facing a top notch heel in the first place the fans are indifferent about orton besides hardly any of them know jericho and he just comes out and gets a shot probably seems to cocky for them besides he got kicked of raw by the favorite wrestler the loser known as john cena
