I don't mean to generalize or be racist but why is it that every mainly white person i meet won't beleive i am of Egytian descent because i'm black. They always say the Egyptians are white or semetic or arab. But the truth is the ancient egyptians were all black africans and in the 7th century invaders from Arabia took over Egypt and pushed the original people futher south that's why most Egyptians mainly in northern Egypt like Cairo are Arab and the original black Africans are towards the south like Aswan were my family comes from, why can't people accept this?

People are ignorant and people dont want to believe that a strong culture and beautiful culture came from Africa.
Look at the Nubian Civilization. People are constantly trying to debunk that the Nubians ruled Egypt at one time. The Nubians were Black plain and simple. Queen Tiye and many other Nubian rulers were Black.
Just ignore those people

people are just ignorant. A lot of people will also say that people from the Horn of Africa aren't really black, and albeit some people from there will also say the same (because of negative portrayal of Africa)
but the truth is that Africa is so incredibly diverse and has influenced and been influenced by so many other civilizations that everyone is at least a little bit mixed,but that doesn't make us any less 'black' ,we're still from the AFRICAN CONTINENT!
people just don't want to give Africans credit for our (I say 'our' loosely, as I haven't built any pyramids lol) accomplishments and so they take whatever foreign bloodline they can find in our history records to either claim the accomplishments for themselves or discredit Africa.
Either ignore these people or educate them! -sorry, I may have gone on a rant but I think I adequately explained the behavior of these dumbasses lol.

Nubian queens (black) married into the Egyptian line during the Ptolemaic period, so later pharoahs (including Cleopatra) had black blood, so I don't know why "they" would say that. One look at the mummies in the Egyptian Museum confirms it! I'm sure they brought black people with them.

Hieroglyphics show that the early Egyptians hated the darker people and enslaved them. As far as I know, that racism goes back to the first dynasties. It's hard to believe that darker people would be descended from royalty in Egypt is all. Darker people were present, though.
