There is no known risk to the baby if you take birth control pills while pregnant. When I was 38 years old, our children were 18, 15, and 12. I had been taking birth control pills for 11 years when I unexpectedly conceived. I had not missed any pills, taken any medications that would interfere with the pill's effectiveness, or been ill and thrown up the Pill. When I found out I was pregnant, I was 17 weeks along and had taken the Pill daily the whole time. I was very concerned about that, but my doctor assured me that there was nothing to be concerned about, but to stop taking the Pill since it obviously wasn't needed any longer. During pregnancy, it is recommended not to take any medication unless necessary.

Thousands of women have become pregnant while taking birth control pills and there is no evidence that anything has happened to the babies who have been born. The only one that I don't know much about is Depo Provera (shot), but I don't actually know anybody who is using it either. Birth control devices today use much less hormone than in the past for safety reasons (increases risk of pregnancy, however).

if you stopped the ortho evra early on, nothing. if you were a ways along before you found out, talk to your doc, he may want to run some additional tests.
