With our first 3 children, my husband and I were trying to conceive so I waited for the first missed period. That was way back in the "old days" when at home pregnancy tests were unheard of and a visit to the doctor was required to "confirm" what most of us already knew. I developed morning sickness with all 3 before my first doctor's appointment. Our 4th baby was born when our older children were 18, 15, and 12. She was conceived totally unexpectedly when I had been taking birth control pills for 11 years. I had no idea I was pregnant. Due to the hormones in the birth control pills I had 2 regular periods and one slightly lighter and shorter period before I found out. I found out at my yearly physical when my doctor did my pelvic exam she said my cervix felt like I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I was in complete shock. We had no way to really know how far along I was so I had an ultrasound - my first ever since routine ultrasounds were not done when I was pregnant with my older 3. It was hard to believe, but the ultrasound showed I was 17 weeks along already. I had no typical pregnancy symptoms with my 4th either. Only some heartburn and a pain in my stomach whenever I ate anything.

I was 3 and 1/2 weeks with my first pregnancy when my breasts started feeling sore and I started to feel slightly sick.. I done a pg test 2 days before my period was due.
With my second I had no idea until at 8 weeks I realsied my period never came so I done a test and it confirmed I was pregnant. We had just stopped trying due to a planned holiday!

Well I had been trying for 11 months, so I would think I was pregnant every month with normal premenstral symptoms. So when I was a few days late I took a test.
I tracked my AF on mymonthlycylces.com it helped out so much.
I don't really recall being any more tired or my breasts being more sore than the other months. But by week 6 I couldn't deny it from all the morning (noon and night) sickness.

I was 4 weeks pregnant. I missed my period on a Saturday and tested on Wednesday morning. I bought the test on Tuesday and was too nervous to do it until the next day.

I was 5 1/2 weeks when I found out. I had my annual gyno appt & told her of pains in my right side. She ordered a sonogram & that's when I found out. I had cramping so I just thought my period was coming, even though I was about a week late. It was a wonderful surprise!
