Can't be a gift card

If everyone is over 18, then I would buy ten dollars worth of lottery scratch off tickets. If not, then perhaps a nice gift set of hot cocoa and cups or coffee?

No, liquor isn't good because some people don't drink. How about a nice coffee-table book? (There are some pretty cheap art books on the bargain tables at Borders and Barnes and Noble, for example.) Or you could do a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

A gift of your time or effort like a gift certificate for a free evening of babysitting if they have kids or provided dinner (if you can't cook get them a bottle of wine or the imperishable ingredients for a recipe and the recipe put together nicely).

Otherwise, you can try a meaningful picture in a cheap but nice looking frame (try a stainless steel or fake silver one).

why not do a secret Santa? All the employees who want to participate. Have them write down what they favorite things, are such as what type of C.D' and DVD they want, their favorite places to eat. Their favorite drinks, such as Starbucks. You can buy the person, a $20.00 gift card.

Then, put all every one note in a blank envelope put it in a hat, or bowl. Everyone, pick a blank envelope, and you in turn become a Secret Santa. Choose. a dollar amount say $20.00.

Hopefully, you won't draw your own name.

That is what our office is doing.

It can be fun.

Try giving a DVD of a favorite movie or perhaps a Book you think they'll like. Also there are many little figurines that you could purchase, Is there Cd you've heard them speak about?

No candles, glass trinkets or anything - no one really is overjoyed to get those. I like the idea of music - almost everyone appreciates music, something classic or even a Christmas CD. Or paperweights or picture frames for their desks or FUDGE! Almsot everyone loves fudge and it's a little different than a box of chocolate or something.

A big bag of M&Ms and a large canister of Planter's Deluxe mixed nuts will set you back about $10. It's that whole salt-sweet thing!!

A trip to the movies. A CD or Movie. Bake something like cookies or brownies to throw in because it makes it more sentimental
