shared a house with a german guy called karl(kalle)klass in penicuik midlothian about 6 years ago and would love to know what hes up to now.he is a joiner to trade and the last i know was he was living in edinburgh.he was into jazz music plse help

This can be very tricky to do without a bit of work on your side of things, though you might get lucky with the search early on/
Ill start with the things you can do now - and thats starting with the internet.
Google his name to see if it comes up with anything (you never know)
Did he have any hobbies - you could do an internet search on the types of things he does and see if he appears there. Search Jazz clubs in Edinburgh - look on their websites and see if he is in the background, then you know where he hangs out at least
E-mail mutual friends you had in Penicuik and see if they have contact details
Go on Yell and see joiners - you never know he might have set up on his own calling himself Klass Joinery?
Try social network sites such as friends reunited or facebook
If he has lived in Edinburgh for 6 years he might have a house, or at least be settled, I think you can check the electoral role and see if he is on that, or the phone book (cant be too many K. Klass's in there!) - get the phone book from your local library

if you dont find him on facebook or friends reunited go to his place of work if you know where it is and you might see him there if he isnt there might someone who knew him when he was working there and they could give you an address
