That is plain silly. I've never heard of any appliance that needed to be unplugged. Yes you can leave it plugged in if you turn it off or if it turns itself off. Coffee makers should not be left on when they are empty. Other than that, no problem. I never unplug any appliance. Especially my coffee pot.

Unplug is because the data can change on many
provider electric servers. You have to just check that.
Try to leave it plugged in, and if the data is still good then
you have the option. This is to cover their system of how
to provide the very safest equipments. This is a company
owned by young women who also make Zena's spears.
They are very talented and need you to share their safety
concern as a household practice. Reducing electronic
transistor helps to prevent 911, accidents, and lighting
with fuse explosions. Not to forget that the owners of all
major providers have incentives for being careful.

I always use to keep my coffee maker plugged in. Perhaps your machine has a battery back up for the digital features. My machine does not have them. I now unplug my kitchen machines more to save energy as they use up a lot even wile shut off.

You should be able to leave it pluged in. Just be certain to turn it off manually when finished. Dont rely on the auto shut-off. It's a liability issue for the mfg. and thats why they say unplug it.

i've been using them for over 20 years and never unplug them
(have two) and have never had a problem. you don't need to unplug them after every use. my household has two because daily use in the morning requires two different time settings for two different people in the house.

Anything that is programmable does not have to be turned off as of course it would change all your settings. I have never had a coffee maker that stated such a thing so you may want to check with their customer service to see if that is a misprint.
